Songscape Festival is thrilled to announce our inaugural Rising Stars Challenge, offering emerging local artists the opportunity to showcase their original music on our festival stage and win professional studio recording time.

SUBMIT YOUR ORIGINAL MUSIC

We're looking for talented musicians with unique sounds and original compositions. Cover songs will not be accepted. Show us what makes your sound special!

EXPERT JUDGING PANEL
Your submission will be evaluated by our distinguished panel of industry professionals who will be looking for creativity, technical skill, originality, and performance quality.

FINALIST AND WINNER NOTIFICATION
The three finalists will be announced by May 19th. The judges will select a grand prize winner after the performances at the festival. All three selected finalists will receive featured performance slots at this year's Songscape Festival, gaining exposure to industry professionals and music lovers alike.

PROFESSIONAL STUDIO RECORDING
The winning act will be awarded exclusive studio time at a premier recording facility located in the Waterloo area, Rupert Street Recording.

PROFESSIONAL MIXING & PRODUCTION
Your original composition will undergo professional mixing and production by a team of experienced engineers.

FESTIVAL PERFORMANCE
All finalists will perform their original music on our stage during the inaugural Songscape Festival.

1. RECORD YOUR BEST ORIGINAL SONG
   Capture your best performance of an original composition. High production quality is not necessary – we're looking for raw talent and originality.
2. SUBMIT YOUR ENTRY
   Send your submission to our Project Coordinator. Please include a brief artist bio and any relevant social media links.
3. ENTRY DEADLINE
   All submissions must be received by May 1st 2025. Late entries will not be considered.

FINALIST NOTIFICATION
The three finalists will be notified by May 19th.

• Artists must be available to perform live at Songscape Festival on June 20 or June 21.
• Submitted songs must be 100% original material. No cover songs will be accepted.
• Artists must own or have permission to use all rights to submitted material.
• Performance time slots will be limited to 30 minutes per finalist.
• Artists must provide their own instruments. Basic backline equipment will be provided.
• Finalists must agree to have their performances photographed and recorded for promotional purposes.
