Position Overview
The Welcome Center serves as the first point of contact upon entrance for festival attendees, creating a welcoming atmosphere while supporting merchandise sales and providing essential festival information. Working under the supervision of the Welcome Center Supervisor, volunteers play a vital role in ensuring all guests receive excellent service and accurate information about festival activities and amenities.

Key Responsibilities
- Welcome and assist festival attendees with a positive, friendly attitude
- Process merchandise sales using the point-of-sale system, including cash and card transactions
- Provide accurate information about festival schedules, stage locations, and amenities
- Guide guests with directions to various festival areas and facilities
- Maintain organized merchandise displays and monitor inventory levels
- Assist with lost and found operations as needed
- Resolve guest inquiries and concerns professionally
- Keep the Welcome Center clean and organized throughout shifts
Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older
- Valid government-issued photo ID
- Strong communication skills in English (additional languages are an asset)
- Basic math skills for processing sales transactions
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Must attend mandatory orientation session
Preferred Qualifications
- Additional language skills
- Experience with point-of-sale systems
- Knowledge of music festivals and event operations
- Cash handling experience
- First aid certification
Time Commitment
- Minimum of two shifts during the festival
- One mandatory orientation session before the festival
- Must arrive 15 minutes before shift start time
