I, the Mountain

I, the Mountain is a vibrant four-piece indie-folk band based in Kitchener, Ontario that has been steadily building a devoted following across Canada. Founded by vocalists Matt Lamers and Matt Rappolt while studying at Trent University in Peterborough, the group later expanded to include Allison Dyjach on keys and Rory McLachlin on guitar. Known for their captivating four-part harmonies and engaging live performances, they've created a passionate community of fans they affectionately call "Mountaineers." The band has established themselves as rising stars in the Canadian music scene, sharing stages with renowned acts like The Strumbellas and Elliott Brood, while making significant impressions at major festivals including Hillside Festival and Riverfest Elora.
